Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Yedu Taxi Client App, Driver App, or any related services available at https://yedu.ae. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
By downloading, installing, or using any Yedu Taxi application or service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms of Use, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
Yedu Taxi is a technology platform that connects passengers seeking transportation with independent drivers. Our services include:
Yedu Taxi acts as an intermediary technology platform only. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Yedu Taxi.
To use the Client App, you must register with a valid phone number and verify it via a one-time password (OTP). You may also sign in using Google or Telegram. You are responsible for:
Drivers may register via the Driver App using a phone number and OTP verification. Self-registered drivers are assigned a pending approval status until reviewed by an administrator. During this period, drivers may:
Drivers with pending or rejected status may not go online or accept trips. Once approved, the driver status becomes active and they may begin accepting trips. Yedu Taxi reserves the right to reject, suspend, or terminate any driver account at its discretion.
Drivers must at all times maintain valid licences, vehicle registrations, insurance, and any other documents required by applicable law.
Passengers may book trips immediately or schedule them for a future time. A trip may be cancelled by the passenger while its status is pending, accepted, or arrived. Drivers may cancel a trip at any stage for valid reasons such as a vehicle breakdown.
Excessive or unreasonable cancellations by either party may result in account suspension or termination.
Fare estimates are provided before booking for informational purposes. The final fare is calculated at trip completion based on the following formula:
Final Fare = Base Price + (Price per km × Distance) + (Price per minute × Duration) + Wait Fee (if applicable)
The final fare is subject to a minimum fare floor. A night multiplier may apply to trips that begin during designated night hours.
Accepted payment methods are cash and card. Passengers must honour the payment method selected at the time of booking.
After a driver arrives at the pickup location, a free waiting period begins as defined by the applicable tariff. Once this free period expires, a per-minute wait fee is charged to the passenger until the trip starts. The wait fee is included in the final fare calculated at trip completion. The authoritative wait time is determined by server-recorded timestamps, not client device clocks.
Trips that pass through toll gates (such as Salik or Darb in Dubai) will incur toll charges in addition to the ride fare. Toll amounts are determined by the applicable gate rates at the time of crossing and are added to the total trip cost. Toll charges are passed through to passengers and are not retained by Yedu Taxi as platform revenue.
Yedu Taxi charges a platform commission on each completed trip. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the base ride fare. The commission rate is subject to change and takes effect on new trips after any update. Drivers will be informed of the applicable commission rate through the Driver App.
After each completed trip, passengers may rate drivers on a scale of 1 to 5 and leave a written review. Ratings contribute to a driver's overall platform score. Passengers may also leave an optional tip.
Submitting false, abusive, or defamatory ratings or reviews is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
All users of Yedu Taxi services are expected to behave respectfully and lawfully. The following are strictly prohibited:

In emergencies, users should contact local emergency services directly. Yedu Taxi may share trip or location data with emergency services when necessary for user safety.
Yedu Taxi provides a lost item reporting feature within the app. While we will make reasonable efforts to assist in recovering lost property, Yedu Taxi is not responsible for items lost or left in a vehicle. Any retrieval of lost items is at the sole discretion of the driver and the platform.
All content, trademarks, software, and technology within the Yedu Taxi applications and website are the exclusive property of Yedu Taxi or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the application for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of our platform without prior written consent.

Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Yedu Taxi is not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
Yedu Taxi provides its platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
Yedu Taxi is not a transportation carrier. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of drivers, who are independent contractors.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yedu Taxi and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific trip giving rise to the claim.
Yedu Taxi reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, these Terms continue to apply to prior use of the platform.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Yedu Taxi operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
